Alice Wilder, Director of Research and Development at Nick Jr. and producer/writer for the hit series Blue's Clues, and partners from the Arts Counsel approached SPAZDEN with a unique and challenging opportunity: Create a website where kids will be able to write their own stories, using professional illustrations, and have the books published in hardcover with their own photo and bio.
SPAZDEN created the design and engineered a fully automated solution that is now the acclaimed website Think It Ink It Publishing, featured on ABC TV and in Parenting and Cookie magazine.
The easy-to-use site incorporates a full user registration, accounts, with shopping cart and checkout. In addtion, custom books can be 'saved as draft' for users who want to return to their projects later. Photos can be uploaded and cropped via a special tool. Published books are permanently stored in the library for later re-publication or future editing.
